1. Acceptance & eligibility
1.1 By creating an account or using SereneHelp you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1.2 A parent may put SereneHelp on a child's phone and use the safety tools without an account. Accounts start at 13. Serene and the Supporter plan are for adults 18 and over. Your age is what you tell us; we do not check it.
1.3 These Terms are provided to UK consumers. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by anything in these Terms.
1.4 Every safety tool in SereneHelp is free for everyone, always. Serene and the optional Supporter plan are for adults 18 and over. Questions about orders, subscriptions, or cancellations: orders@
1a. The Supporter plan
1a.1 The Supporter plan is for adults 18 and over only. It is paid monthly by card through Stripe, our payment processor. It renews each month on the same date until you cancel. No VAT is charged. Card details are entered on Stripe's page and never reach SereneHelp.
1a.2 Every safety tool in SereneHelp is free for everyone, always. Serene and the Supporter plan are for adults 18+ only. The message allowance resets at the start of each billing period (the date shown in My account). Urgent safety replies are never limited and never charged.
1a.3 You can cancel any time on the Supporter page or by emailing orders@
1a.4 We email you before each renewal. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by anything in this section.
2. Account security & accurate information
2.1 You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
2.2 You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date where relevant.
3. Acceptable use
3.1 You agree not to misuse the service, including not to: use it for any unlawful purpose; upload or enter content that is unlawful, harmful, or that you do not have the right to use; impersonate another person; attempt to access another user's data; or interfere with the service's security or operation.
3.2 SereneHelp is not an emergency service and must not be relied on for safety monitoring or crisis response.
4. User content
4.1 You own the details you save in SereneHelp — your Crisis Card entries and any support contacts you add.
4.2 You grant DanceOnVibes a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your content solely to operate the service for you, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and your consent.
5. Wellness Scope — No Medical Services
5.1 SereneHelp is a self-help check and a helpline signpost. It is not therapy and not legal advice. Serene is not a person.
5.2 The Service does not constitute medical care, mental health treatment, psychotherapy, clinical advice, or any regulated health service. No therapist–client, doctor–patient, or similar professional relationship is created by your use of the Service.
5.3 Some features use artificial intelligence when switched on, and may contain errors. Other content is fixed guidance or checks that run on your phone. You use the Service at your own discretion and agree to consult a qualified professional for any health concern.
6. Limitation of liability
6.1 Subject to the exclusions that follow, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or in connection with the Service in any 12-month period shall not exceed £100.
6.2 Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Termination
7.1 You may close your account and delete your data at any time using the controls in the app.
7.2 We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe you have misused the service.
8. Changes to these Terms
8.1 We may update these Terms, for example when the law or our service changes. We will tell you about important changes in the app, and by email if you have an account, at least 30 days before they take effect, unless the law or your safety needs a faster change.
8.2 If you don't agree with a change, you can close your account, and cancel your Supporter plan before the change takes effect. We will refund any payment for the time after that date.
9. Ownership & Copyright
9.1 SereneHelp is owned, operated, and managed by DanceOnVibes Limited, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 17423769, registered office 167–169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF). DanceOnVibes is the owner of the SereneHelp app, its name, branding, and content (except where third-party material is credited).
9.2 © 2026 DanceOnVibes Limited. All rights reserved. The SereneHelp name, logo, software, designs, text, and other content are protected by UK and international copyright and trademark laws and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written permission from DanceOnVibes.
9.3 These Terms, and any dispute arising from your use of SereneHelp, are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the English courts have jurisdiction.
10. Sign in, Serene advice, Speak & keyword hits
Sign in. An account is optional. Accounts start at 13. You sign in with email and a password, or with Google, Apple, Facebook, or Microsoft. SereneHelp does not receive your password.
Serene advice. Serene advice is not legal advice. Some sites are not accurate. You send any letter yourself; SereneHelp does not send it for you.
Speak. The Speak button uses your phone's speech-to-text. Your phone may send the voice to the company that makes the phone. SereneHelp does not keep the recording.
Keyword hit. A keyword hit is decided on the phone and is not sent. If the keywords find nothing and you tap Check, those words are sent for a second look, then dropped here.
What works where
11.1 Features marked "not available yet" collect no data. When a feature launches, we will explain what it uses and ask you first. See what works where.
Translations
SereneHelp is available in several languages. Some translations, including any marked "Beta", are produced with machine translation and have not yet been reviewed by a native speaker. They may contain errors or wording that differs from the original. The English (en-GB) version of these Terms is the official version. If there is any conflict or difference between a translation and the English version, the English version applies. If anything in your language is unclear, please switch to English or contact us at support@serenehelp.org.
Crisis and helpline information may be translated automatically. If you are in danger or need urgent help, contact your local emergency number straight away. To report a mistake in safety or helpline information, email safety@serenehelp.org.
Serene AI processor
When you use Serene, your words or picture pass through our app platform, Base44, which runs our code on servers in the United States. They then go to Amazon Web Services, our processor, in London, where an AI model made by Anthropic replies. In a Serene chat, your last few messages go too, so the reply makes sense. We don't keep them, Amazon Bedrock doesn't store them, and Amazon doesn't use them to train AI models.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with SereneHelp or the Supporter plan, email support@
We do not currently use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider. If we can't settle your complaint, we will tell you so in writing. You can get free, independent advice from Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk), and you keep your right to go to court.
For complaints about how we use your personal data, see Privacy, section 14.
